About

About Me

I’ve climbed in the mountains for over twenty years and spent the last ten immersed in backcountry skiing. For the past five years, outside of international living, my van has been my home. Vanlife lessens travel time to the best mountain conditions. To afford this lifestyle, I’m a statistical programmer. However, my true passion is identifying unique challenges and then pushing my body to succeed.

Side adventures — mostly before climbing and skiing — included week-long portaging trips, canyoneering, month-long solo cycling trips from state to state, diving my way through five countries in Central America, and long-term travel through countries for months while working remotely.

I’m especially adept with last-minute budget travel when the mountains are calling — meaning when conditions provide a world-class experience like higher-than-normal snowpack or dry granite cracks.

A Few Details

  • I’ve experienced being viewed as an outsider when it comes to large objectives in the mountains — and so I want to create a space here that is comfortable for everyone.
  • This site is a soft landing for anyone seeking strength in the mountains.
